Job Details

Job Details / Responsibilities:

Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents to prepare accurate time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for commercial construction projects
Prepare budget estimates and detailed project schedules
Perform value management and engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities
Develop procurement strategies and solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers
Build and maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships
Conduct quantity take-offs and evaluate labor, equipment, and material costs
Prepare final contract estimates and support the bid process
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and internal teams throughout preconstruction
Review bid documents, assess project risks, and monitor estimates for scope changes
Contribute to a strong safety culture and advocate for the company's Safety and Health Management Program

Qualifications:

5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience (preferred)
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Destiny/Beck Technology or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proven communication and negotiation abilities with subcontractors and team members
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Architectural Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
