We are seeking a seasoned Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position and offers a unique opportunity to be part of high-profile projects in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for a variety of projects in sectors such as federal, state, or government construction, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, higher education, K-12, concrete, labs, medical, office, retail, and religious. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in industrial construction and cost estimation, with a proven track record of success.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects or services.
2. Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
3. Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
4. Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
5. Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
6. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
7. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
8. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
9. Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction estimator.
3. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, or government construction, hospitality construction, civic, entertainment, healthcare, industrial, higher education, K-12, hospitality, concrete, labs, medical, office, retail, and religious projects.
4. Proficient in cost estimation and industrial construction.
5. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
8. Proficiency with computer software estimating programs.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
10. Familiarity with financial and project management principles.
11. In-depth understanding of research methodology, data analysis, and estimation metrics.
12. Professional certification in construction estimation is a plus.
