We are seeking a Construction Estimator for a large construction company in Sarasota, FL.
Must-Have Skills:
- Construction-related degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of commercial estimating experience, preferably with a general contractor or developer
- Ability to read blueprints
- Proficiency with cost estimating software and detailed quantity take-offs
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for retail, industrial, and hotel projects
- Manage plans and specifications
- Develop detailed estimates including quantity take-offs, line items, and subcontractor summaries
- Collaborate with teams, utilize historical data, and update unit prices
- Verify existing conditions and incorporate findings into estimates
Requirements:
- Construction degree or relevant experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work meticulously within deadlines
- In-office role with no sponsorship or visa assistance
