The successful candidate will have the education and experience that is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management as well as 2-3 years of experience as an estimator (preferred) or can substitute education for 7 years of experience as an estimator/ project manager.
Find project jobs and order plans, aide select jobs to bid - analyzing plans/specs, job requirements for manpower/equipment, methods of construction/time limits, perform pre-bid investigations – site/labor/sun items, prepare bid documents – orders bonds, turns in bids, clarifies plan and Spec discrepancies with engineer, Codes awarded jobs for accounting. Passes on all information to PM’s & field supervision, write purchase orders & subcontracts on major items when requested, helps resolve questions on quotations after lettings, such as terms, delivery, inclusions, exclusions, etc. Maintain records and information for takeoff and pricing of estimates. Perform the duties of project engineer when requested.
