SUNSTAR CONSTRUCTION
Construction Field Coordinator
Full-Time | $23.00-$25.00 per hour | Construction Experience Required
Job Description
Sunstar Construction is looking for an experienced, dependable Construction Field Coordinator to help keep our projects moving efficiently from the initial site visit through active construction.
This is not just a delivery or general labor position.
You will be one of the first people representing Sunstar at many job sites. You will perform initial site inspections, document existing conditions, take measurements and photos, communicate information back to our project team, and help coordinate the movement of materials and supplies to active projects.
We are looking for someone who already understands construction, can walk onto a job site and recognize what they are looking at, communicates well, stays organized, and doesn't need to be constantly supervised.
Previous construction experience is required.

· Perform initial site inspections for new construction and repair projects
· Meet with customers and/or project contacts professionally at the job site
· Inspect and document existing site conditions
· Take clear, detailed job-site photos and measurements
· Gather the information needed by Project Managers and Estimators
· Identify visible construction concerns and communicate findings to the project team
· Create accurate field notes and job documentation
· Pick up, load, transport, and deliver construction materials to active job sites
· Coordinate material and supply needs with Project Managers and field crews
· Make material runs to suppliers and vendors
· Verify materials and quantities before leaving suppliers
· Help ensure crews have the materials they need to keep projects moving
· Move tools and equipment between projects when needed
· Check active job sites and communicate progress, material needs, or concerns
· Maintain an organized and professional company vehicle
· Keep materials, tools, receipts, and job documentation organized
· Communicate clearly with Project Managers, Estimators, office staff, subcontractors, and field crews
· Assist with other field operations as needed
What We're Looking For
The right person for this position is someone who understands construction and can be trusted to operate independently in the field.
You should be able to walk onto a project, assess what is happening, gather useful information, and communicate it clearly to the rest of the team.
Required Qualifications
· Previous construction experience is required
· Working knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction
· Ability to identify common construction materials and building components
· Ability to take accurate measurements
· Comfortable using a tape measure and basic construction tools

· Ability to take organized, useful job-site photos
· Ability to follow instructions and established company procedures

· Load and unload construction materials
· Climb ladders
· Walk active construction sites
· Work in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined areas when necessary

Who Will Succeed in This Position?
This position is a good fit for someone who has worked in construction but is looking for a role that combines construction knowledge, problem-solving, driving, organization, and field coordination rather than spending the entire day performing labor.
You need to be comfortable making decisions in the field, asking questions when something doesn't look right, and taking ownership of your responsibilities.
We value people who are dependable, organized, proactive, professional, and willing to get things done.
If you have construction experience and want a position where you can become an important part of keeping multiple projects organized and moving forward, we'd like to hear from you.
