A leading mechanical construction contractor is hiring for a Construction Field Safety Coordinator to support active commercial and industrial projects throughout the tri-state area. This is a highly visible, field-based role responsible for promoting a strong safety culture through jobsite inspections, hazard recognition, employee coaching, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and passionate about continuous improvement. This individual will work closely with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field personnel to identify potential risks, implement corrective actions, and ensure all work is performed safely while maintaining compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Frequent travel between project sites is required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine safety inspections at active construction sites, including mechanical rooms, excavation areas, confined spaces, crane operations, and equipment installations.
- Identify unsafe conditions and work practices, document findings, and partner with field leadership to implement corrective actions.
- Verify compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies related to fall protection, personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout, confined space entry, hot work, and equipment operation.
- Track corrective actions through completion using digital reporting and safety management software.
- Provide on-site coaching and guidance to employees, reinforcing safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
- Assist project teams with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, and equipment safety inspections.
- Participate in toolbox talks, daily safety meetings, and project huddles to promote ongoing safety awareness.
- Support incident investigations by gathering information, documenting findings, and assisting with root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Monitor safety trends and recommend process improvements to reduce incidents and strengthen overall jobsite safety performance.
- Prepare inspection reports, safety documentation, and compliance records for internal leadership, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Stay current with OSHA regulations and applicable state and local safety requirements affecting construction, HVAC, and mechanical contracting operations.

Key Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in construction safety, industrial safety, mechanical construction, HVAC, plumbing, or a related field.
- OSHA 30 certification is required.
- Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards and industry best practices.
- Strong ability to recognize hazards, assess risk, and develop practical corrective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility in the field and - effectively interact with employees at all levels.
- Comfortable using mobile technology, digital inspection software, reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the tri-state region to support multiple project sites.

Key Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Safety Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience conducting field safety audits and managing corrective action processes.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and maintain accurate documentation.
- Self-motivated professional with a collaborative approach and a passion for fostering a positive safety culture.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus.
