Construction Foreman

Nexus Energy Services is an industry leader, committed to safety, quality, and exceeding customer expectations. We’re seeking a Construction Foreman to join our team and lead on-site projects with professionalism and attention to detail.

Job Purpose

The Construction Foreman coordinates the construction and installation of equipment in accordance with federal, state,
and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies. Daily interaction with customers, vendors, subcontractors,
and local and state regulatory agencies is required. The foreman is detail-oriented and focused on safety. They are
expected to bring issues to the attention of the construction team leaders while still striving to complete the project on
time.

What You’ll Do

  • Actively manages teams to maintain, repair, and install fuel storage tanks, piping systems, and related
    petroleum equipment.
  • Responsible for the heavy equipment operation, including scheduling equipment and materials (both in-house
    and rental resources) as well as employee assignments and availability.
  • Coordinates the daily activities of on-site team members to ensure a “right the first time” approach to tasks.
  • Collaborates and supports the NES construction department by sharing best practices and maintaining
    open communication lines across the branch organization.
  • Prioritizes excellent customer service by communicating with customers in a clear and timely manner.
  • Prioritizes safety by leading by example and enforcing safety measures among the team members.
  • Initiates and participates in pre-construction and safety meetings. Attend and participate in all work-related
    meetings, inventories, and training classes.
  • Maintains knowledge on current industry regulations (DEP, EPA, L&I, etc.)
  • Opens and closes work orders/tickets to record job cost and service time for accurate invoicing.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, practices, and safety standards.
  • Maintains professional appearance in accordance with the company dress code policy.
  • Maintains professional communication and demeanor with vendors, team members, and guests.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to teamwork while being flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Maintains company vehicles and adheres to all state/local/federal laws and company policies regarding operation
    of a motor vehicle. Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card (if required).
  • Maintains part inventory and supplies in the vehicle.
  • Responsible for following the customer’s safety and housekeeping guidelines when performing repairs at the
    customer's site.

What We’re Looking For

  • Completion of a related trade school program preferred.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment (backhoe, track hoe, skid steer). Previous experience with aerial lift equipment/cranes is a plus.
  • 3+ years of related experience installing fuel handling equipment.
  • Manufacturer equipment-specific certifications.
  • Certification and training in the petroleum industry preferred.
  • Proven mechanical and electrical skills. Ability to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in a construction environment.
