Job Title: Construction General Laborer


Job Description


This role supports a large new construction project by performing a wide range of general labor and cleaning tasks to keep the job site safe, organized, and efficient. You will help maintain site cleanliness, move materials, and assist with day-to-day activities on an active construction site.


Responsibilities


+ Sweep floors and keep work areas clean and free of debris throughout the shift.

+ Pick up trash and dispose of waste materials in designated areas to maintain a safe and orderly job site.

+ Vacuum and remove water from work areas when it rains to prevent slips, trips, and delays in construction activities.

+ Move construction materials from one location to another on the site as directed by supervisors or tradespeople.

+ Support general clean-up activities across the job site, including around equipment, walkways, and work zones.

+ Follow construction safety guidelines and site rules at all times to protect yourself and others.

+ Assist other team members and trades as needed with basic labor tasks on the new construction project.

+ Report any unsafe conditions, hazards, or incidents to site leadership promptly.

+ Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, including required orientation, and be prepared to work in a fast-paced construction environment.


Essential Skills


+ Previous experience working as a general laborer on construction sites.

+ Comfort working on active new construction job sites with heavy equipment and ongoing trades work.

+ Ability to perform general labor duties such as sweeping, cleaning, and material movement for the duration of the shift.

+ Understanding of basic construction safety practices and willingness to follow all safety procedures.

+ Reliability and strong work ethic, including consistent attendance and punctuality.

+ Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry materials for extended periods in a construction environment.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Any OSHA or related safety certifications are a plus.

+ Experience performing general laborer duties specifically on new construction projects is ideal.

+ Familiarity with construction clean-up processes, including debris removal and site organization.

+ Comfort working around hoists, heavy equipment, and other construction machinery under supervision.

Work Environment


This position is based on a new construction stadium project. You will work outdoors and indoors in a busy, active construction environment with changing weather conditions and varying site conditions. Typical schedules include early-morning and daytime shifts: buck hoist operators work approximately 5:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Saturday, and laborers work morning shifts Monday through Friday. Orientation takes place at 6:00 am on a Monday. You will be on your feet for most of the day, working around heavy equipment, hoists, and ongoing construction activities, and you should expect to wear appropriate construction attire and personal protective equipment as required by site safety rules.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
