At Curtis Contracting, Inc. (CCI), our projects move communities forward. We’re seeking a Construction HSE Specialist who thrives in heavy civil environments and turns safety programs into daily habits on the jobsite.

Impact you’ll make

• Guardrail of compliance: Ensure day-to-day adherence to OSHA requirements and CCI safety policies across active sites
• Field rigor: Execute recurring inspections and audits; lead incident and near-miss investigations
• Coach on the ground: Facilitate toolbox talks and targeted training for crews and front-line leaders
• Plan with purpose: Develop and update site-specific safety plans (SSSPs) tailored to evolving scope and risk
• Data that drives action: Maintain accurate safety reports, logs, and documentation
• Hazard foresight: Partner with project teams to identify exposures early and implement effective controls

What sets you up for success

• 5+ years in construction safety; background in heavy civil work preferred
• Mastery of OSHA standards and practical construction safety methodologies
• Credentials such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or CHST are advantageous
• Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership presence
• Ability and readiness to travel among regional project sites
