Position Overview An Experienced Construction Inspector will be responsible for providing inspection services for transportation construction projects. They ensure all work and materials used are in compliance with the proposal plans and specifications. They may: Perform required calculations, take measurements, and verify weights and volumes as needed. Plot and run cross sections and prepare "as-builts" during the progress of the project. Perform materials testing. Document inspected work daily. Requirements This position requires heavy lifting, working outside in a variety of conditions on a regular basis, and the ability to perform work independently. Travel to construction sites throughout the state is an essential function of this position; a valid drivers license is required. Extended hours and overnight stays may be required. Qualifications Successful candidates will hold at least two applicable certifications: ACI MARTCP TTCM E&S SHA Yellow Card AND a: Bachelors degree in construction management or related field; OR Associate degree in construction management or related field plus two years relevant experience; OR No degree with at least four years relevant experience.
