TheConstruction Engineering Services Practice is seeking a Construction Inspector/Engineer-in-Training in Spokane, WA.

In thisposition,you will provideon-site constructioninspectionsand applicable documentation for transportation projects. This includes observation of construction work activities for compliance with plans and specifications, preparation of required contract documentation, and following prescribed Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures consistent with State and Local guidelines. Additionally,you willassistwithproject design teamsincluding project set-up, drafting, design, quality review and quality assurance, project coordination/organization, etc.for a wide range of transportation projects.
What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:
Coordinate, perform, and/or supervise technical engineering work in
thefield.
Inspect,observe,andensure thata construction project is constructedin
accordance withcontract plans and specifications.
Maintainaccuratedaily recordsof the work (labor, equipment,
materials, quantities).
Identifycontract changes andassistin preparation of change orders.
Communicate effectively with the Contractors, Owners, Construction Manager, Project Documentation Engineer, or other field engineering staff.
Prepare field noterecords forprogress payments.
Coordinate for required materials sampling and testing.
Prepares and/ormodifiesconstruction documents, reports, specifications, cost estimates, and designs for projects.

What You BringRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Ability to work effectively with client representatives, contractors, the public, as well as peers and subordinates.
Excellent skills in working independentlyin the field.
The successful candidate must be able to effectively multitask and prioritize and track construction issuesthroughcompletion.
Clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of construction inspection experience working on large roadways,bridges,and highway projects.
General contracting experience.
WSDOTproject experience(ITD andODOT arealsoconsidered).
WSDOTInspector Certifications(ITD andODOTare alsoconsidered).
Experience inspecting Federally funded projects.
Drafting and design experience with BentleyOpen Roadsand/or Civil 3D for the design of alignments and 3D design surfaces.

Potential salary range:$36.04/hr. - $43.16/hr.
