Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Inspector to oversee and ensure the quality and safety of underground and aerial utility construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering work prints, ROW documents, and technical knowledge related to fiber broadband installation and troubleshooting. This role requires excellent organizational skills, technical expertise, and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and inspect underground and aerial utility construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with manhole and conduit construction standards.
• Adhere to Outside Plant Safety and Quality Procedures (GO95, GO128 as applicable).
• Interpret and understand engineering work prints and ROW documents.
• Track, monitor, and update databases or workgroups on job status.
• Prepare work requests and verify correct change orders and/or invoices.
• Review all documentation for completeness and accuracy before submitting job packages for final closing.

• Proper fiber broadband FTTP installation techniques.
• ONT and Wi-Fi activation quality standards.
• GPON & XGS testing and turn-up requirements.
• BSW placement standards.
• Fiber feeder and distribution fault isolation.
• Troubleshooting, damage setup, and restoration procedures.

• Knowledge of customer service practices during inspections is valuable.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.

Pay Range:$40hr - $45hr on w2

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
