Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection team in Philadelphia, PA! Come be a part of a great team!
Our team plays a hands-on role in inspecting, designing, rehabilitating, and constructing hundreds of highways, roadways, and bridges across the United States. Join our team and partner closely with state departments of transportation, public agencies, and private developers on projects that matter.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control construction observations for roadway and bridge construction, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination, and safety.
- Read contract documents and construction plans.
- Responsible for construction observation monitoring/tracking of construction sequencing, cost, and performance decisions.
- Assure that proper document control, quality assurance, and project records are kept.
- Assure quality and uniformity in the record keeping of various contracts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of highway and/or bridge construction inspection experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Knowledge of PennDOT road specifications is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Office, time management, and organizational skills.
- Team player who enjoys working collaboratively with others.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors on job sites for extended periods of time in various weather conditions is required.
