Some DOT projects will require additional structure inspections.This will include examining and documenting the workmanship of on-going and finished highway and bridge projects for conformity to plans and standards and recommends approval for installation to supervisors. Municipal projects will be heavy paving focused.JOB REQUIREMENTS for Construction InspectorsPerforms field inspections on transportation construction projects including paving materials verification testing and compliance mix design subgrade and compaction asphalt placement utility coordination grading drainage curb sidewalk ADA ramps traffic control evaluationIdentifies any deviations from specified construction procedures and notifies supervisorDocuments all observations of the construction progress to include daily diaries and inspection activitiesRequired ACI ATTI Field CertificationsNICET ATSSA SWPPP nice to haveGEDHS Diploma with 2-7years related engineering experienceDOThighwaystructure experience needed for state projectsThis job description is not intended to be exhaustive of all duties and responsibilities.
