Job Description

Construction Inspectors - Mechanical, Structural, Electrical
Our client is seeking experienced Construction Inspectors to support a large-scale aviation infrastructure project including terminal expansion, airfield improvements, and campus-wide upgrades. They are currently hiring a Mechanical Inspector, Structural Inspector, and Electrical Inspector - Low Voltage. Candidates with prior aviation or airport construction experience are strongly preferred. This is a multi-year, big-budget direct hire opportunity.

Construction Inspectors - Mechanical, Structural, Electrical Role:
Mechanical Inspector
Focus: HVAC systems, hydronic piping, mechanical equipment, automation, and energy systems.
Responsibilities include:
Inspect installation, operation, and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Review mechanical drawings and project specifications to confirm compliance with codes and design standards
Perform pressure testing and functional checks on mechanical systems
Document inspection results and report deficiencies
Monitor work to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality assurance protocols

Structural Inspector (CWI Preferred)
Focus: Structural steel, welding, reinforced concrete, and foundation systems.
Responsibilities include:
Inspect structural steel installations including bolting, welding, coatings, and alignment
Verify reinforced concrete placement, rebar spacing, curing, and formwork
Inspect post-tensioned or prestressed concrete systems
Review masonry reinforcement and construction methods
Observe deep foundation systems including drilled shafts, anchors, and piles
Coordinate and witness material testing including weld tests and NDT methods

Electrical Inspector - Low Voltage Systems
Focus: Communications, security, fire alarm, access control, and data cabling systems.
Responsibilities include:
Inspect low-voltage systems to ensure compliance with contract specifications and electrical codes
Verify performance testing, grounding, labeling, and system integration
Witness functional testing and commissioning of low-voltage infrastructure
Prepare inspection reports and track deficiencies through resolution
Provide final documentation for commissioning and project closeout

Construction Inspectors - Mechanical, Structural, Electrical Background Profile:
10+ years of construction inspection experience
Aviation or airport construction experience strongly preferred
Experience with runways, taxiways, terminals, or underground utilities
Knowledge of environmental regulations and construction codes
Familiarity with discipline-specific codes (e.g., NEC, IMC, IPC, SMACNA, IBC, IEEE)
Ability to interpret contract documents, specifications, and inspection reports
Ability to pass a TSA criminal history background check
Valid Driver's License
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - Structural (preferred)
Relevant electrical or mechanical inspection certifications
