Support the Construction Project Manager with planning, coordination, and execution of construction and facility improvement projects. This internship provides hands-on exposure to real-world construction project management while supporting active projects from design through completion.
Role and Responsibilities:
Assist the Construction Project Manager with day-to-day project coordination
Support project planning, scheduling, and documentation
Help monitor construction progress, timelines, and quality standards
Assist with site visits, inspections, and documentation of project status
Support the design and engineering phases of projects (drawing, review specifications, change tracking)
Help prepare weekly reports and project updates for leadership
Assist with vendor coordination, material tracking, and basic cost monitoring
Maintain organized project files, drawings, permits, and compliance documentation
Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to negotiations with contractors and suppliers
Perform additional administrative and project support duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Currently pursuing or recently completed education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or related technical or trade program
Basic understanding of construction principles, tools, or jobsite practices preferred
Willingness to learn and work in an active construction environment
Work Environment
Combination of office and construction site settings
Exposure to active construction areas, equipment, and varying weather conditions
Collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk construction sites and stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
Ability to safely navigate uneven terrain and active job sites
