ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY  

Okland is seeking motivated, curious, and team-oriented students to join our internship program. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to real projects that shape communities. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to learn what it takes to build with excellence.

Our internship opportunities span a variety of career paths across the construction industry, including Field Engineering (FE), Project Engineering (PE), Virtual Design & Construction (VDC), Preconstruction, Estimating, Scheduling, Safety, and Quality Control. Whether your interests are in the field, preconstruction, technology, or project support, our goal is to provide meaningful experience that helps you discover where you can make the greatest impact.

This internship is designed for students who are passionate about construction and eager to grow through mentorship, collaboration, and meaningful work. If you’re ready to explore your future in the industry, we want to meet you.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY  

Project Support:

• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination
• Participate in jobsite walks, safety meetings, and subcontractor interactions
• Support preconstruction efforts including estimating and bid preparation
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
• Learn and apply construction technologies (e.g., Autodesk, Bluebeam, BIM 360)

Team Collaboration:

• Engage with project teams and department leaders
• Attend team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions
• Receive mentorship and feedback from experienced professionals

Professional Development:

• Participating in intern events, training sessions, and leadership exposure
• Complete a presentation summarizing your experience
• Receive performance evaluations and guidance for future career steps

YOU ARE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE  

• Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related program.

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Clear communicator who works well across teams

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry
