General Laborer

This role supports a civil construction project by performing a wide range of general labor tasks, including site preparation, material handling, and assisting skilled trades to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project completion.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general labor duties on a civil construction site, including site cleanup, basic demolition, and material staging.
• Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment around the job site in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use basic hand tools to assist with construction tasks as directed by supervisors and skilled trades personnel.
• Support construction activities such as setting up work areas, preparing materials, and helping with simple assembly tasks.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
• Lift, carry, and position materials weighing up to 50 lbs as part of daily work activities.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and be ready to begin work at the designated start time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area throughout the shift.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines.

Job Type & Location: This is a contract position based out of Lafayette, LA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
