Job Description

MGR Workforce is hiring Construction Laborers for a railroad construction project in Slaton, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for dependable individuals who enjoy working outdoors and being part of a construction crew. Previous railroad construction experience is a strong asset, but candidates with general construction labor experience are also encouraged to apply.

This position follows a rotating schedule of 10 consecutive workdays followed by 4 days off, with 8 to 10-hour day shifts.

Schedule

• Day Shift
• 8 to 10 hours per day
• Rotating schedule:
  • 10 consecutive days worked
  • 4 consecutive days off
  • Repeat rotation

Responsibilities

• Assist with railroad construction and maintenance activities.
• Load, unload, and move construction materials and equipment.
• Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, carrying, and site cleanup.
• Assist skilled crew members with track installation, repairs, and related work.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform other general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous railroad construction experience is considered a strong asset.
• General construction labor experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Reliable transportation to the work site.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work well in a team.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Steel toe work boots
• Hard hat
• High-visibility safety vest
