Construction Laborer

Job Summary

• Role: Labor - Underground Utility Contractor
• Type: Full-Time / Hourly
• Industry: Construction / Utility Infrastructure

Main Duties                                 

• Dig and grade trenches using shovels, picks, or other hand tools.
• Load and unload heavy pipe, fittings, and construction materials.
• Install, align and join pipes for water, sewer, or electrical lines.
• Set up safety barriers, cones, and trench shoring equipment.
• Help machine operators by signaling movements and checking depths.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and job sites.

Skills and Requirements

• Physical Strength: Lift 50 pounds or more and stand for long hours.
• Endurance: Work outdoors in all-weather types (heat, cold, rain).
• Safety First: Follow OSHA guidelines and wear proper gear (PPE).
• Teamwork: Listen well and communicate clearly with crew members.
• Experience: High school diploma and two years in construction work.
