A premier global law firm is seeking a Construction Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Seattle office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing owners, developers, contractors, design professionals, and major commercial clients in sophisticated construction and infrastructure disputes.
• 3–6 years of construction litigation or complex commercial litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
• Experience handling construction disputes, including contract claims, delay and disruption claims, defective construction and design claims, payment disputes, change order disputes, and construction defect litigation
• Experience representing owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, lenders, or sureties
• Experience managing all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, depositions, hearings, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation
• Experience litigating matters in state and federal courts, as well as construction arbitration forums such as the AAA, is preferred
• Experience reviewing and interpreting construction contracts, design agreements, EPC agreements, and related project documentation
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters while maintaining significant client interaction
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Washington bar admission required or ability to become admitted
