Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex civil and construction litigation matters throughout California from inception through resolution or trial.
• Draft high-impact pleadings, substantive motions, legal briefs, and appellate materials.
• Formulate and execute discovery strategies, including drafting/responding to written discovery and conducting/defending depositions.
• Perform complex legal research and analysis on statutory, contractual, and liability issues.
• Work collaboratively with partners, co-counsel, expert witnesses, and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of substantive civil litigation experience handling complex, multi-party matters at a law firm.
• Bar Admission: Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional legal research, drafting, oral advocacy, and analytical skills. Must be able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision on core litigation tasks.
• Credentials: J.D. with a strong academic record (law school transcript required).
• Practice Specialty: Construction law or construction defect experience is desired but not required—a background in general civil or commercial litigation with strong trial-prep skills is fully transferable.
