Construction Laborer – Opelousas Area

A local Opelousas-area business is seeking dependable laborers for construction, maintenance, and repair work. The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction experience or familiarity with hand tools, along with basic mechanical aptitude.

Pay: $13/hour (raises available with completion of training/upon permanent hire)

Qualifications:

• Previous construction or related experience preferred
• Experience using hand tools
• Basic mechanical skills
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record (MVR)
• Strong time management skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Ability to operate a pickup truck
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

Schedule & Benefits:

• Full-time hours
• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Opportunity for permanent hire
• Must be flexible; permanent employees may be required to be on call

Additional Requirements:

• Pre-employment screening required
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
