Construction Manager 5  | Austin, TX

Our client, a leading technology infrastructure organization, is seeking a Construction Manager 5 to join their team. You will be part of the Infrastructure Delivery team supporting cross-functional teams including Design, Procurement, Commissioning, Operations, and Lease Providers. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills,exceptional problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills that will align successfully within the organization.

Location:Austin, TX (100% Onsite)
Pay Range: : $91.50 - $98.54/hour

What’s the Job?

  • Lead and coordinate Data Center, mission-critical construction projects, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and compliance objectives are achieved.
  • Manage contractors and multiple trades while driving project milestones, including Early Access and Ready for Service (RFS) deliverables.
  • Conduct site safety walks, review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and enforce environmental health and safety standards.
  • Monitor project schedules, identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and remove obstacles impacting project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful commissioning, turnover, and operational readiness of facilities.

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience managing mission-critical construction projects, preferably data centers or high-tech facilities.
  • Proven experience managing project schedules, milestone delivery, contractor performance, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance, commissioning processes, turnover requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and scheduling platforms (P6 experience preferred). PMP certification is a plus.
