The Construction Manager provides on-site construction oversight for post-Hurricane Lowell facilities assessment, stabilization, repair, and recovery activities. The position coordinates daily contractor activities and ensures work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved scopes, schedules, quality requirements, and Government direction.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily field oversight of assigned facilities repair and recovery projects.
  • Coordinate contractor and subcontractor activities, including sequencing, manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor progress, workmanship, and schedule performance.
  • Review work plans, drawings, specifications, repair scopes, and contractor submittals for constructability and compliance.
  • Identify field conditions, conflicts, deficiencies, and schedule risks and coordinate resolution.
  • Verify completed work and document quantities, progress, and field conditions.
  • Coordinate with the SSHO, QC, Logistics Lead, contractors, and Government representatives.
  • Support damage assessments, emergency stabilization, temporary repairs, and transition to permanent restoration.
  • Participate in progress meetings, site walks, inspections, and coordination meetings.
  • Maintain accurate daily records, photographs, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Elevate safety, quality, schedule, and resource issues to the Construction Manager Lead.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of construction management or field supervision experience.
  • Experience with facilities repair, construction, or restoration activities.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and subcontractors in active field environments.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, quality control, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work scopes.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting DoD, NAVFAC, USACE, or military installations.
  • Hurricane, disaster recovery, emergency management, or facilities restoration experience.
  • Experience with heavy equipment, temporary power, dewatering, debris operations, construction materials, and specialty trades.
