Job Summary:
As the Construction Manager I, II, III, you will be responsible for leading construction operations and overseeing field crews to ensure telecommunications infrastructure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. You will coordinate project execution, workforce performance, material management, scheduling, and customer communication while maintaining high standards of quality and operational excellence. As the Construction Manager, your customers are Congruex project teams, field personnel, customers, and subcontractors, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company's success through effective leadership, operational efficiency, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
• Manage and oversee construction crews, subcontractors, and field activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate project schedules, material procurement, workforce planning, customer communication, and daily construction operations in partnership with Project Managers and support teams.
• Monitor project budgets, production, quality, milestone completion, and project documentation, including daily production reports, as-builts, and closeout packages.
• Train, mentor, evaluate, and develop Foremen and field personnel while supporting employee performance management, hiring, coaching, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, OSHA regulations, and applicable local, state, and federal construction standards.
• Review and approve timesheets, invoices, project documentation, and operational reports while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and project performance.
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
Experience
• Experience managing telecommunications, utility, civil, or infrastructure construction projects.
• Experience supervising construction crews and coordinating field operations.
• Experience with aerial and underground utility construction methods.
Skills and Abilities
• Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, production tracking, and quality control.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word, scheduling software, and HCSS HeavyBid or similar construction management software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting project deadlines.
• Ability to effectively lead teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Previous experience managing broadband, fiber optic, telecommunications, or utility infrastructure projects.
• Experience with project estimating, financial management, and construction scheduling.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, push, pull, twist, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods.
• Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, around heavy equipment, machinery, and active construction sites.
• Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety boots, safety glasses, hard hat, and other required safety equipment.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.

Additional Employment Information:
Leveling: Construction Manager I, II, and III designations are determined based on the individual's experience, demonstrated competencies, project complexity, size and number of projects managed, and span of responsibility.
