Description
Position: Construction Manager
The Construction Manager oversees company projects during the construction and commissioning phase. The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring construction subcontractors are executing the work in accordance with safety, quality, reporting, contract, standards, change management, risk management, and schedule requirements.
Project Setup:
Performs Project Setup
Reviews the project drawings, project scope, subcontractor scopes, and overall project schedule
Orders site office, supplies, IT equipment, internet, facilities, and setup local vendors
Site Setup:
Responsible for the setup of Office trailers, laydown areas, electrical hookups, and permits
Develops EAP and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) with Safety Manger and third parties, as required
Submits work plans, traffic plans, and project outages to client for review.
Obtains permits for any of the plans that require them
Construction Activities:
Reports to Project Manager (PM) and client
Oversees and/or directs construction projects to completion
Meets contractual conditions of performance
Oversees all construction scopes to verify compliance with drawings, safety, and quality
Verifies revisions or changes to existing drawings. Maintains the most recent revisions
Coordinates with Project Engineers and required changes
