The Role
Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Manager based out of Maryland. The Construction Manager assures the quality and integrity of each project, bringing projects in on schedule and within budget. Using in-house construction management procedures and experience, provide continuity and consistency of construction management with quality assurance and reliable control. This role is Responsible for management and execution of assigned construction project(s) in accordance with the requirements of the contract between the company and the client, and in accordance with the company's operating policies and principles. Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project. Manages and controls construction cost and schedule. Management of installation, commissioning and completion activities for hardware, plant and equipment. This role supporting capital projects at a pharmaceutical facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of construction management project of various sizes and complexities
- Accountable for the overall contract construction effort and commissioning strategy; including safety, planning, cost and delivery of all field works on the Contract
- Accountable for supervising, organizing and coordinating head office, site construction and commissioning teams to provide high quality support in accordance with the Contract
- Responsible for ensuring full construction integration to project delivery by encouraging regular engineering, procurement and construction interface meetings
- Ensure work pack and material delivery aligns with construction mobilization
- Provide construction expertise during FEED, Detail Design, in the form of constructability reviews, scope minimization and ensuring safest and most efficient construction methods adopted
- Actively engages with the other contractors / sub-contractors to ensure seamless delivery at site(s)
- Engages with individual project teams to ensure correct level and sequence of Work Breakdown Structure adopted at project kick off
- Ensure all Site activities are performed in a safe, environmentally responsible manner with integrity and quality delivering HS&E targets
- Oversight of home office team to ensure quality construction input to the integrated engineering and planning processes
- Delivery of site teams to meet Client's business schedules
