The Construction Manager is responsible for all on site construction activities with the project managers assistance on projects ranging from 10M-50M. The Construction Manager will have site staff reporting to them and will need to lead and manage teams. Responsibilities include contractor management labor management safety oversite client management procurement assistance and estimating assistance. This role will be in our Cary NC office with travel to various project locations in North Carolina.Key ResponsibilitiesComplies with legal requirements safety and building codesMaintains site records daily filed reports RFIs observationsWrites and reviews comprehensive scope of workCollaborates with architects engineers and other construction specialists on submittalsAssigns schedules and coordinates all subcontractor activitiesLeads all construction meetings owners contractors pull plans schedules design reviewsEffectively manages and communicates change and controls costsInterfaces at a high level with clients and possesses strong negotiation skillsManages DPS staff on construction sites and mentors senior superintendentsAbility to travel as needed to off-site locationsAbility to work outside regular business hoursSkills & QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent and 10 years in construction.Life Sciences experience a plusRead analyze and interpret business professional technical or documentsWrite reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questionsOSHA 30-Hour CertificationExcellent verbal written and communications skillsManage Superintendents and other trade foremanPlans for additional resources. Integrates changes smoothly. Sets goals and objectives.
