Butterfly Staffing is seeking an experienced Construction Management Representative (CMR) / Owner's Representative to support a federal historic rehabilitation project. This position will serve as the Government's representative in the field, providing construction oversight while coordinating with contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders throughout construction.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, protecting the owner's interests, maintaining quality, and ensuring projects are completed in accordance with the contract documents.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the Government's field representative throughout construction
• Perform construction inspections and field observations
• Monitor contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements
• Identify and document construction deficiencies
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and Government personnel
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and punch lists
• Prepare and maintain daily reports, meeting minutes, project correspondence, and project documentation
• Support QA/QC, construction scheduling, commissioning, and contract administration
• Assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues while maintaining positive working relationships
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following:
• Construction Management
• Owner's Representative
• Construction Management Representative (CMR)
• Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)
• Resident Engineer
• Construction Inspector
• Construction Oversight
• QA/QC
Candidates should also have experience with:
• Historic preservation, rehabilitation, restoration, or renovation projects
• Federal construction projects (NPS, NAVFAC, USACE, GSA, VA, DoD, or similar agencies)
• Construction inspections and contractor oversight
• Documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, daily reports, meeting minutes, and punch lists
• Coordination with architects, engineers, contractors, and Government personnel
• Construction scheduling, QA/QC, commissioning, and contract administration
• Occupied facilities, visitor centers, museums, courthouses, hospitals, or similar institutional buildings preferred
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred
