Utility-scale solar experience required
Hands-on construction leader with 5+ years of experience, preferably with an electrical background
SCHEDULE
Houston Office: Regular 8-hour day (40 hours/week)

Alamogordo, NM: 10 hrs/day Monday Friday and 8 hrs on Saturday. Employee works 4 weeks on site; on the 5th week, rotation is Thursday Sunday (employee returns to work on Monday).

TRAVEL & PER DIEM
Per diem is $120/day for 7 days a week, except when the employee is on rotation. Rotation travel is paid by CJR. CJR does not book hotels; employees use their per diem for accommodations.

MISSION
Plan, Organize, Supervise and Monitor the project resources, as defined in the approved Execution Planning and Rebudgeting, in accordance with the guidelines of CJR Renewables, U.S. EPC industry best practices, applicable federal, state, and local legislation, ensuring full compliance with each phase of the project as planned and ensuring the execution of the work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with OSHA, QA/QC, HSE, and contractual requirements while ensuring Client satisfaction.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Review commercial, contractual, technical, and budget documentation to plan and organize all phases of EPC construction and ensure full compliance with contractual obligations.
Plan and sequence project execution, develop detailed schedules and re-budgets, and establish milestones, productivity targets, and critical paths.
Support the Project Manager in achieving contractual milestones, progress reporting, client updates, and commissioning readiness.
Define execution strategy, work breakdown structure, resource allocation, staffing needs, and cost planning to support project delivery.
Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, Project Engineers, and all site teams to ensure consistent reporting, communication, and workflow.
Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design packages to ensure constructability and compliance.
Monitor production quantities, work-in-place, labor hours, equipment usage, and cost allocation to maintain up-to-date project controls.
Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to validate scopes, schedules, manpower plans, QA/QC expectations, HSE compliance, and progress performance.
Support PM in schedule updates, progress curves, cost tracking, earned-value analysis, and invoice preparation.
Ensure strict compliance with QA/QC standards, OSHA requirements, project HSE plans, environmental controls, and utility/AHJ regulations.
Ensure all construction activities follow approved drawings, specifications, installation standards, and manufacturer requirements.
Identify risks early, implement mitigation actions, escalate critical issues, and maintain a proactive risk-management culture.
Coordinate with Foremen and Superintendents to anticipate constraints, resolve field issues, and maintain safe, compliant workflows.
Coordinate deliveries, logistics, inventory, equipment allocation, material availability, and field requisitions to avoid delays.
Prepare procurement plans, material take-offs, equipment lists, and logistical sequencing aligned with construction phases.
Ensure materials and equipment arrive within required timelines and comply with contract specifications and QA/QC criteria.
Lead, mentor, and develop site teams, promoting technical growth, leadership skills, accountability, and alignment with CJR values.
Collaborate with Project Manager, Engineering Manager and Procurement Manager to ensure technical and on-time resources for the project.
Collaborate with Engineering Manager on Submittals and RFIs to ensure correctness of material selections and installation.
Maintain clear communication channels, daily coordination routines (PCMs), and cross-functional alignment across all stakeholders.
Support HR programs such as Apprenticeship and workforce development initiatives, ensuring compliance and documentation.
Prepare daily/weekly and monthly reports in alignment with Project Manager; maintain progress updates, risk logs, NCR logs, QA/QC metrics, and all documentation requested by PM or Client.
Attend Client progress meetings, engineering reviews, safety walkdowns, and commercial follow-ups.
Support monthly client invoicing, progress substantiation, subcontractor billing, stored materials validation, and contractual reporting.
Ensure accurate production tracking, documentation, and cost allocation across project activities.
Monitor global project performance: safety, quality, schedule, budget, subcontractor management, and client satisfaction.
Perform other related duties to support successful EPC construction execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering on Solar PV, BESS.

Training: OSHA 30 required; OSHA 10 acceptable for onboarding. NCCER, PMP, or relevant certification preferred.

SKILLS
Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), MS Project and P6, AutoCAD and Bluebeam, Strong leadership/communication/planning/coordination skills.

Preferred: SAP, Experience with Procore, BIM 360, or similar EPC digital tools.

Valid US Driver's License
Available and capable to travel
Ability to temporarily relocate to project sites as needed
