    Description

    The Construction Manager selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in stormwater construction that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a Civil Engineer that has 2+ years of experience in stormwater and/or wastewater construction management. This position will be on-site, part-time and full-time in the Los Angeles area. 

    Projects may include:

    • Various stormwater projects, which include rehabilitation and construction of:
      • Collection Systems
      • Stormwater Capture and BMPs

    As a Construction Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Review and interpret contractor baseline CPM schedules and monitor ongoing schedule updates
    • Track construction progress and identify schedule impacts
    • Review and approve shop drawings, ensuring City comments are accurate and applicable
    • Evaluate and respond to contractor RFIs
    • Proactively identify construction issues and implement practical solutions
    • Prepare and review construction cost estimates
    • Maintain organized and accurate construction documentation
    • Lead on-site focus meetings to resolve project issues and distribute meeting minutes
    • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and environmental regulations
    • Provide regular status reports to City Management on budget, schedule, and project risks
