Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee construction management activities for significant water and wastewater treatment plant & infrastructure projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors, to manage and monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction.
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining open lines of communication and addressing client needs and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
Leverage your extensive business development experience to identify, pursue, and secure new project opportunities within the civil engineering industry, particularly with municipal clients in Orange County, California. .
Foster a safe, positive, and collaborative team culture, leading by example and contributing to the overall success of the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. (Master's degree is a plus)
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management of large-scale water and wastewater projects for municipal or federal clients (i.e. water treatment plants, Pump stations, lift stations, etc.)
Proven track record of successful business development in the civil engineering sector, specifically with municipalities in Orange County, California.
Strong understanding of construction regulations, industry standards, and best practices within the water and wastewater treatment plant sector.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and foster collaborative working relationships.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build and maintain strong client relationships and successfully navigate negotiations.
Proficiency in project management software and tools to facilitate efficient project tracking and reporting.
Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
