This may include performing field investigations and/or subsurface investigations, engineering analysis and calculations, design and development of plans and specifications, and the preparation and review of reports for services provided.ResponsibilitiesEvaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to provide quality engineering servicesAnalyzes reports, maps, drawings, specifications, and other project dataMaintains project budgets, record keeping, materials testing, and inspectionsCommunicates with other engineers, technicians, drill crews, special inspectors, admin personnel, sub-consultants and contractors to provide servicePrepares and reviews technical reports and lettersSatisfies multiple and unrelated deadlinesMay supervise and direct engineering technicians, special inspectors, drill crews and subcontractorsPerforms field testing and site visits. Field work will include testing and inspecting soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials at locations across our service areaPerforms subsurface investigations including borings and test pitsEnsures project reports are completed and submitted timelyEnsures accuracy for all items related to billing for projectsMaintains excellent client relations by responding promptly, etc.Provides input relative to needs of client to Project ManagerOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technologies, or a related field.Entry level position.
