Construction Materials Testing Supervisor

Seeking a Construction Materials Testing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations for a California-based Construction Materials Testing group.

This position serves as the operational leader for a team of approximately 3-4 experienced technicians and inspectors supporting active construction projects throughout Southern California.

Responsibilities include technician scheduling, client communication, crew coordination, proposal support, report review, project documentation, operational problem-solving, and ensuring technicians have the information and resources necessary to successfully execute field assignments.

The successful candidate will regularly interact with contractors, construction managers, project teams, engineers, and clients while balancing customer expectations with operational needs. The role requires strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and the ability to support both field personnel and client relationships.

Projects involve Construction Materials Testing, inspection services, soils, concrete, asphalt, and related construction activities. Field visits are required periodically to support projects, maintain client relationships, and provide visibility to active job sites, but the role is primarily office-based.

This position is best described as a client-facing operations supervisor rather than a department manager and is ideal for someone looking to grow into a broader leadership role within construction services.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $93000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
