Construction Millwork Estimator/PM

Reports directly to the owner. The estimator / PM is responsible for estimating commercial Millwork construction projects which includes subcontractor scope definition activities. They are responsible for providing accurate estimates in order to provide our clients the ability to make well-informed decisions.

Job Qualifications

• Experience in commercial millwork construction required.

• Working knowledge of building systems / components.

• Ability to multi-task in a high volume, time sensitive / deadline environment.

• Ability to read specifications, plan designs and details.

• Experience in commercial Millwork project management.

• Strong math and analytical skills.

• Strong organization, documentation, computer and communication skills.

   

Position Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs with scope sheets (that could be used for purchasing.)

• Prepare time, cost and labor estimates for millwork projects by analyzing project drawings, specifications and RFP’s.

• Evaluation of bid specifications and drawings.

• Attend pre-bid meetings and / or site visits.

• Ability to participate in estimate reconciliations.

• Participate in the interview process as required by some projects for award.

• Clearly have experience and understand how to build millwork projects and develop detailed estimates.

• Ability to assist in the presentation of estimates to clients.

• Communicate with owners, architects and project team.

• Foster team work.
