C.T. Male Associates, a multi-discipline engineering and architectural firm in the Northeast, is seeking experienced Construction Observers for upcoming projects across New York State, including the Capital District, Mohawk Valley, and other regions. Opportunities are available at our Latham, Johnstown, or Glens Falls, NY locations.
What You'll Do:
- Track and document daily work completed by contractors, including equipment and labor. Daily observation reports will be completed and reviewed with Project Manager.
- Verify the use of approved products and materials and accurately estimate daily quantities used.
- Review C.T. Male's safety policies with Project Manager with respect to field assignments offered.
- Record issues and obstacles encountered by contractors and collaborate with Project Manager to resolve them.
- Coordinate with the contractor's superintendent to monitor work progress.
- Enforce that accurate field measurements and "red-lined" record drawings are being collected by the contractor.
- Maintain and update project records daily, including daily construction reports, testing records, field logs, startup reports and third-party or manufacturer certifications.
- Provide documentation for Engineer of Record certification of work conformance.
- Coordinate site testing services.
Pay Range: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
