As a Construction Payroll & Finance Associate, you will receive hands-on training in the specialized payroll requirements associated with a construction workforce. You will work alongside an experienced Craft Payroll Manager and Controller while gradually taking ownership of more detailed and complex responsibilities.
This is an opportunity to move beyond routine office or bookkeeping work and develop valuable expertise in construction payroll and finance.

What You Will Learn and Support
Your responsibilities will expand as you complete training and develop your knowledge. Your work may include:
- Reviewing employee time information for completeness and accuracy
- Assisting with weekly craft payroll processing
- Maintaining payroll files and supporting documentation
- Learning how union wage rates and employee classifications are applied
- Reviewing collective bargaining agreement requirements
- Helping calculate holiday, premium, and other applicable pay
- Communicating with internal team members to resolve missing or inconsistent information
- Supporting payroll reporting, reconciliation, and related accounting activities
- Assisting with certified payroll and prevailing wage documentation
- Gaining exposure to job costing and construction financial reporting
- Helping ensure payroll deadlines are met accurately and consistently
Over time, the successful employee will be expected to work more independently and provide dependable coverage for essential payroll responsibilities.

- Ability to work within recurring weekly deadlines
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Organized approach to records and documentation
- Ability to learn rules-based processes
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to accept direction, receive feedback, and continue developing
- Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information
- Interest in building a long-term career within Servidone's finance team
Direct construction, union, craft payroll, certified payroll, or prevailing wage experience is helpful, but it is not required. Specialized training will be provided.
