Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer and spaceflight services company, is currently recruiting for a Construction Permitting Coordinator to join their innovative and rapidly growing team.

Supervise, coordinate, and manage all permit/plan activity in the division. Duties include tracking/monitoring permits with the respective regulatory agencies, compiling supporting documents, updating, and maintaining reports, preserving files, communicating with partners/stakeholders, officials/regulatory agencies, Facilities Engineering/Construction teams, etc.

Candidates must have experience working with agencies in:
  • Space Florida
  • NASA
  • Brevard County
  • St Johns River Water Management District
  • City of Cocoa
  • City of Titusville

Responsibilities:
  • Obtain/log documents from Engineers, Architects, Contractors, and various Vendors to coordinate the permit application process
  • Confirm/track all required approvals for permits and act as liaison between the company and each agency throughout the entire permitting process
  • Prepare and submit application status to various agencies, partners/stakeholders, and boards having jurisdiction over required permits and/or approvals
  • Review applications/packages issued out of the Facilities Engineering/Construction team, along with all supporting documents for accuracy and confirm that all start packages are complete
  • Coordinate paperwork and applications with outside consultants/contractors as necessary
  • Work closely with the agencies on the status of permits and ensure they are processed in a timely manner
  • Produce and maintain schedules for all projects and coordinate with regulatory agencies from permit approval to final stages (CO) of the permitting process
  • Enter, maintain, and update permitting data daily
  • Print and prepare template packages for the Facilities Engineering/Construction team
  • Verify inspections are completed and conditions resolved to obtain Certificate of Occupancies for closing
  • Maintain all company files relating to site plan applications, product approvals, licenses, and permits
  • Communicate regularly with the Facilities Engineering/Construction to help troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise in the field to ensure closings are met

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with manufacturing/industrial facility construction and amenity permitting is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Minimum 7 years in the Construction industry and/or technical construction project management experience is helpful
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, consistent attention to detail, the ability to prioritize, and take initiative are essential to this role
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team player, comfortable working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a heavy volume workload
  • Must be able and/or willing to learn how to read blueprints and plot plans
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
