Construction Pipelayer- Berryville, VA

D.L. George and Sons Construction is seeking Pipelayers with a minimum of 2 years utility installation (preferred). Must possess a general knowledge of underground utility installation, excavation and trench safety.

Pipelayer Responsibilities and Duties:

• Installation of water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer piping
• Ensure subgrade and piping is on grade and on line
• Familiarity with pipe lasers and pressure testing equipment
• Assist in backfilling and running compaction equipment
• Ability to rig shoring systems and structures

Pipelayer Qualifications and Skills:

• The Construction Pipelayer must have good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and balance.
• They must be able to read and understand warning signs and labels on a construction site, be able to interpret plans, drawings, and written instructions and specifications.
• They should be capable of working as a member of a team and have basic problem-solving and math skills.
• They must possess the knowledge and ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assigned tasks may require climbing, bending, lifting, sitting, and reaching.
