Description

The Construction Program Inspector role is full-time position with benefits and a preferred hiring range of $26.15 - $28.76 per hour (equivalent to $54,392 - $59,820 annually); however, an exact salary will be dependent upon the selected candidates qualifications/experience and in compliance with City policy. Applicants may be considered for another level within the department at a hiring rate commensurate with applicant qualifications.
As the Construction Program Inspector, youll monitor and inspect contractor and private developer construction activities, including erosion and sediment control and stormwater management measures, to ensure quality and compliance with contracts, construction plans, specifications, regulations, standards, and codes. Additionally, youll maintain detailed inspection and progress records, permits, plans, and other related documentation. As a vital team member, youll coordinate construction activities between the City and contractors, analyze issues in the field, and make decisions to help meet deadlines and resolve daily challenges, including deviations or errors related to regulations, materials, and other construction matters within your scope of authority. As needed and as determined by the Public Works Director, you may provide emergency response support for snow and ice operations.
