Our certified and highly-skilled teams specialize in structural steel design, engineering, detailing, fabrication, erection and retrofit to existing structural members.YOUR DAY TO DAYProject Accountants support our team with project invoicing and payment processes, budget to job cost comparisons, daily review of job cost related items, subcontracts and compliance tracking, and change order preparation.Coordinate workflow with project management team, including preparation and distribution of subcontract and with the required compliance attachmentsTrack compliance of all subcontractors Support the monthly and annual closeout processReview job specifications for insurance and bonding requirementsLoad weekly payment to subcontractors as payments are received from ownersProcess weekly certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects, including collecting and managing payrolls from subcontractorsPrepare owner and subcontractor change ordersPrepare monthly project billings; effectively communicate with Project Managers and principals in charge, regarding contract documents and change orders related to billingWork with project managers to keep accounts receivable current on all projectsMonthly analyzing of projects with Project Managers to prepare for financial closingPrepare and distribute job cost analysis and variance reportsCreate organized phase codesScan and enter invoices from subcontractors into viewpointCorrespond with general contractors, subcontractors, and other vendors regarding invoicing and payment inquiriesEnsure compliance with all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructionsDirectly assist project management teams with any duties required to complete projects on time and within budgetProvide accounting assistance to Project Managers and operations staff; respond to financial questions and concerns to meet business needsREQUIREMENTS Prior accounting experience required; construction or manufacturing project accounting preferredComputer and software skills, including Microsoft Office required, Vista/Viewpoint preferredAbility to work with all personnel within the organization and facilitate communication effectivelyAbility to work independently and be a team player, must be flexible, and able to work in fast paced and changing environmentEqual Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.Kinsley Steel, Inc. is a Drug Free Workplace where post-offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Kinsley Steel, Inc. is a participant in the Federal E-Verify Program.
