We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team as we prepare for the retirement of a valued employee who has been an important part of our organization for more than two decades. Position Summary

\n

The Project Accountant serves as a financial partner to our Project Managers and operations teams, helping ensure accurate job costing, billing, project reporting, vendor management, and overall project financial success.

\n

 

\n

Responsibilities

\n

Project Accounting & Cost Management

\n

• \n
• Maintain project records within Sage 300, Procore, and related systems.
• \n
• Support project setup, budgets, contracts, and change order management.
• \n
• Prepare owner billings, including AIA billing documentation.
• \n
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections.
• \n
• Process customer payments and maintain client records.
• \n
• Track labor costs and support project cost reporting.
• \n
• Assist with timekeeping, certified payroll reporting, and payroll requirements.
• \n
• Partner with Project Managers to maintain accurate project financial information.
• \n

Accounts Payable & General Accounting

\n

• \n
• Process vendor invoices and maintain accurate job cost coding.
• \n
• Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries.
• \n
• Support payment processing and annual 1099 reporting.
• \n
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
• \n
• Maintain fixed asset and other accounting records.
• \n
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications

\n

Required

\n

• \n
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• \n
• Three or more years of accounting, bookkeeping, or project accounting experience.
• \n
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• \n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• \n

Preferred

\n

• \n
• Construction industry experience.
• \n
• Experience with Sage 300 CRE and/or Procore.
• \n
• Knowledge of job costing, construction billing, and project accounting.
• \n
