Construction Project Assistant

The Construction Project Assistant will provide essential support to our Site Supervisor/Project Manager by coordinating daily activities on-site, ensuring quality control, and maintaining compliance standards. This role requires close collaboration with the project manager and and sub contractors to help keep new construction projects on schedule while maintaining cleanliness and security within the new housing development.

Responsibilities

• Support project manager with daily coordination and scheduling. Support all trades in the process with site access and supplies
• Provide general assistance to the Site Supervisor to keep everything on schedule and provide support to trades as required
• Act as an assistant for communication between site supervisor and subcontractors
• Assist with quality control and compliance monitoring
• Maintain jobsite cleanliness and organization
• Pickup supplies as needed to support project progress
• Responsible for Inventory of ordered supplies and distribute to appropriate build as needed
• Ensure security compliance on-site monitoring access to site using security cameras & locks
• Keep streets clean using Bobcat and street sweeper attachment
• Install and remove RAMboard to protect floors during construction
• Coordinate and install fiber conduit and perforated drain tile around foundation walls
• Keep street curb inlets clean of debris
• Maintain locks on all homes: Lock up and open homes each day
• Brush hog site as needed

Qualifications

• Active Driver's Licence & Insurance
• 1+ years of experience in construction and/or project management
• Operate skid loader & mini excavator to unload supplies and assist trades
• Experience hauling onsite trailers to pick up and distribute supplies to trades as needed
• Ability to climb ladders, be on your feet for long periods of time, lots of walking, working outside in all conditions, lift heavy items, keep current inventory of equipment and supplies. 
• Access to pickup or equivalent to pick up supplies as needed or move trailers around job site
