Pay: $25.00 - $30.00/hour, depending on experience
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Project Coordinator to support a busy team managing retail construction and remodeling projects. This is a hands-on coordination role requiring someone who is confident, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of deadlines and follow-up.
The ideal candidate has previous construction project coordination experience and understands the importance of staying ahead of schedules, following up on outstanding items, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.
Experience with Procore is highly desirable.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with Project Managers and Field Supervisors to coordinate active construction projects from setup through closeout.
- Track project schedules, deadlines, deliverables, and outstanding action items.
- Proactively follow up with vendors, subcontractors, field personnel, and other project contacts to keep projects moving.
- Prepare, track, and submit shop drawings, material samples, submittals, and other required project documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic project files, records, drawings, and documentation.
- Coordinate ordering and delivery of construction materials to job sites.
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors regarding scheduling, deliveries, bids, and project updates.
- Assist with identifying subcontractors and obtaining bids for upcoming projects.
- Coordinate project resources including labor, dumpsters, materials, and deliveries.
- Monitor punch lists and follow through to ensure outstanding items are completed on time.
- Assist Project Managers with project setup and closeout documentation.
- Communicate with stores, landlords, vendors, customers, and field personnel as needed.
- Prepare project reports, spreadsheets, tracking documents, and other information for Project Managers.
- Ensure important project information is communicated to the appropriate departments and team members in a timely manner.
- Handle multiple projects and changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Provide additional project and administrative support as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of construction industry experience preferred
- Previous experience in construction project coordination, project administration, or a similar role strongly preferred.
- Procore experience preferred.
- Experience supporting multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Strong sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and consistently follow through on commitments.
- Confident communicating with Project Managers, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, project specifications, and related documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize quickly as project needs and deadlines change.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- High school diploma or GED required; relevant college education is a plus.
