Construction Project Coordinator
Hialeah, FL 33010 | Full-Time | Office-Based with Jobsite Visits
Are you a Construction Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or recent engineering/construction graduate looking to grow your career?
Our client is an established South Florida general contractor with more than 30 years of experience. They are seeking an organized and resourceful Project Coordinator to support project managers and field teams with documentation, scheduling, progress tracking, and project communication.
This is primarily an office-based administrative role with periodic visits to active jobsites. Commercial construction experience is preferred, but candidates from other construction sectors will be considered.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, meeting minutes, and project reports.
- Update schedules, two-week look-aheads, Gantt charts, progress trackers, and action-item lists.
- Track materials, submittals, permits, inspections, deadlines, and project delays.
- Assist with invoices, payment applications, T&M tickets, and subcontractor documentation.
- Coordinate meetings, site visits, inspections, suppliers, subcontractors, and project communications.
- Prepare professional emails, progress updates, meeting agendas, and follow-up documentation.
- Support shop drawings, engineering reviews, punch lists, quality-control records, and project closeout.
- Visit jobsites periodically to document progress and support the project team.
What We’re Looking For
You may qualify through either experience or education:
- At least one year of experience in construction project coordination, assistant project management, project engineering, or construction administration; or
- A recent degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
You should also have:
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- The ability to follow instructions, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Logical problem-solving and professional communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of construction drawings and terminology.
- Experience with Excel or project-tracking software.
- Familiarity with Monday.com, Procore, Fieldwire, MS Project, or similar platforms is helpful but not required.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for periodic jobsite visits.
