Position OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the planning, design, execution, and oversight of construction and building systems projects.This position is responsible for managing projects that improve the value, reliability, and long-term performance of facility assets. The Project Engineer will coordinate internal engineering and construction teams, external consulting firms, contractors, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle.The successful candidate will manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, procurement activities, and contractor performance while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do- Lead the design, engineering, and construction of capital improvement and facility infrastructure projects
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, and procurement activities
- Coordinate internal engineering resources, external consulting firms, and design-build partners
- Develop practical and cost-effective engineering solutions that support operational needs
- Direct construction activities performed by internal trades, contractors, and vendors
- Monitor contractor performance, project quality, safety compliance, and adherence to specifications
- Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the planning and execution process
- Proactively resolve technical, construction, and operational challenges
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, environmental regulations, safety standards, and local, state, and federal requirements
- Serve as a liaison between engineering, operations, contractors, customers, and business partners
- Maintain clear communication regarding project schedules, budgets, risks, and progress
- Develop project execution strategies that maximize facility reliability and long-term asset performance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle
What You’ll Bring- Experience managing engineering, construction, capital improvement, or facility infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and cost control
- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams
- Understanding of construction methods, building systems, engineering principles, and project specifications
- Knowledge of applicable building codes, environmental requirements, and workplace safety standards
- Ability to identify risks, solve technical problems, and manage competing project priorities
- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to travel up to 40% as required
