Construction Project Estimator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects including commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction, excellent math and computer skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and other contract documents to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Research and gather information on materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
• Review estimates with project managers and construction team to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability information.
• Prepare and present estimates to clients and potential clients.
• Review project progress and update estimates as necessary.
• Work with project managers to ensure estimates align with project goals and budget.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent math and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and estimating software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Professional certifications, such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), are a plus.
