Job Responsibilities for the Construction Project Manager:
  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Process and manage project submittals for timely review and distribution.
  • Prepare, track, and coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Review, prepare, negotiate, and process project change orders.
  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project budgets, construction costs, and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and company standards.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide routine progress updates.
  • Manage procurement and material delivery schedules to avoid disruptions.
  • Identify and resolve project issues to minimize delays and cost impacts.
  • Oversee final project closeout documentation and contractual completion requirements.
  • Utilize Microsoft Project in the use of scheduling projects.
Qualifications for the Construction Project Manager:
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (interchangeable with experience requirement).
  • Extensive proficiency in Microsoft Project to create and manage detailed schedules. - At least 2 years using this software.
  • Experience processing submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction practices, contracts, and controls.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience managing multiple commercial projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of modern construction management software platforms.
  • Active OSHA certification or related construction safety training.
Compensation for the Construction Project Manager
$75,000 - $90,000 Annually
