Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Preconstruction

• Support design-build project development
• Review plans, specifications, and contracts
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and timelines
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and design teams
• Manage permitting and preconstruction activities

Construction Management

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
• Track project progress and maintain schedules
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and building codes

Financial Oversight

• Monitor budgets, costs, and change orders
• Review and approve pay applications
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts

Client & Stakeholder Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants
• Lead site meetings and provide regular updates
• Proactively manage expectations and project communication

Risk & Safety Management

• Partner with field teams to maintain safety standards
• Identify and address potential risks

Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor junior team members
• Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and industry standards
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Sage, Procore, MS Project, Buildertrend)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• OSHA certification preferred
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel to job sites and work extended hours as needed
• Must reside within approximately one hour of Covington, GA; occasional overnight travel may be required
